What is a Member Agency?

Learn what an RSVP "Member Agency" is and how to become one! Contact us at 970-243-9839.

A "Member Agency" is any 501(c)3 nonprofit, governmental agency or (duly licensed proprietary) health care facility located in Mesa County and is meeting LOCAL community needs.  This "Member Agency" must need volunteers to help them accomplish their mission and has to complete the Member Agency Application [pdf] process with Mesa County RSVP.  After an agency's application has been approved, it will be helpful to an agency to download the Member Agency Handbook [pdf].

Our Member Agencies (by focus)

Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Housing, Human Needs, Nature, Public Safety, Seniors and Youth.

How to Become a Member Agency

An agency has to complete an Agency Application, submit it to Mesa County RSVP, have it approved, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the agency and RSVP.

What Next

After the application process is completed, use the forms below to request volunteers.

  1. Online Volunteer Request Form - Submit your volunteer request online.  It goes directly to the RSVP Volunteer Manager.
  2. Volunteer Request Form [pdf]- Submit your volunteer request via mail or fax.
  3. One Time Project Form [doc]- If you have a special project like a fundraising event, you can request volunteer crews to come and help with the event.  WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS' NOTICE for One-Time Projects.

Even though we have a lot of volunteers registered with Mesa County RSVP, we do not have volunteers  available on a moment's notice.  There is a process of finding the right volunteer for the right position so both parties are happy and fulfilled.

Using the Agency Volunteer Timesheet

It is a requirement of being a Member Agency that you assist RSVP in the collection of volunteer hours performed by registered RSVP Volunteers at your site. Click HERE for information about why this is required.

If you are one of our registered agencies, you can use this Timesheet [doc] to track the time of your RSVP volunteers. Just remember to have the volunteer sign each day they are at your site, and have a representative from your agency also sign the form.
