What is a Member Agency?

What an RSVP "Member Agency" is and how to become one. Contact us at 970-243-9839.

A "Member Agency" is any 501(c)3 non-profit, governmental agency or (duly licensed proprietary) health care facility, that is located in Mesa County, and is meeting LOCAL community needs.  This 'Member Agency" must need volunteers to help them accomplish their mission and has to complete the Agency Application [pdf] process with Mesa County RSVP.  After an agency's application has been approved, it will be helpful to an agency to download the Member Agency Handbook [pdf].

Our Member Agencies (by focus)

Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Housing, Human Needs, Nature, Public Safety, Seniors and Youth.

How to become a Member Agency

An agency has to complete an Agency Application submit it to Mesa County RSVP, have it approved, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the agency and RSVP.

What Next

After the application process is completed, there are two forms that are used by the agency to request volunteers.

  1. Online Volunteer Form - You can enter your volunteer request here through our online form.  It goes directly to the RSVP Volunteer Manager.
  2. Volunteer Request Form [pdf]- This form is used to request volunteers to fill positions within your organization that are regular and ongoing.
  3. One Time Project Form [doc]- If you have a special project like a fundraising event you can request volunteer crews to come and help with the event.  WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS NOTICE to get these volunteer crews.

Even though we have a lot of volunteers that are registered with Mesa County RSVP, we do not have volunteers that are available on a moment's notice.  There is a process of finding the right volunteer for the right position so both parties are happy and fulfilled.

And lastly - we have an Agency Volunteer Timesheet

You can use this Timesheet [doc] if you are one of our registered agencies to track the volunteer time of your RSVP volunteers. This will save the volunteers from having to do individual timesheets. Just remember to have the volunteer sign each day they are at your site and have a representative from your agency sign the form.
