Western Slope Directors of Volunteers in Agencies

An evolving organization promoting Volunteerism, DOVIA's purpose is to "Promote professionalism in the field of Volunteer Management, advocating for issues concerning Volunteerism and to provide networking and training opportunities for the membership."

Support and Networking

  • Dialogue Before Nine (DBN) -Informal monthly coffees with discussion about a specific topic related to Volunteer Management
  • Network with other volunteer managers

Training

  • Five luncheon trainings a year
  • Conferences

Membership - Dues are for one year and due in January

  • Individual Membership - $35 a year per agency which includes one agency representative.
  • Agency Membership - $50 a year per agency which includes up to three agency representatives.
  • Organizational Membership - $100 a year per agency which includes up to ten agency representatives.

 

  • Members get discounts on sponsored events

Meeting Schedule

Monthly Dialogue Before Nine (DBN) Coffee

The First Wednesday of every month from 8am-9am. Coffee and other refreshments provided by the host agency.

This is a time for networking and discussion about issues related to volunteer management.

Bi-Monthly Training Luncheons

Every two months on the third Thursday of the month from 11am-1pm. 

Luncheons include an hour of training, usually provided by a special guest speaker, and our general business meeting.

Luncheon meetings are $10 for each member attending and $15 for non-members.
