Jean Brewer -  Executive Director

Jean Brewer - Executive DirectorJean joined Mesa County RSVP, Inc. in July of 1994. She originally held the position of Administrative Recruitment Manager until 1999 when she was promoted to the position of Program Director. In January of 2000, she was promoted again to the position of Executive Director. Jean has an AA Degree in Office Management and a B.A. Degree with double emphasis in Human Resource Management and Office Administration. Jean completed a year-long Executive Leadership training course with Community Resource Center in Denver in 2003.

Aleta Ballard - Office Manager

Aleta Ballard July 9, 2009Aleta joined Mesa County RSVP, Inc. in August of 1999. She has AAS Degrees in Graphic Technology and Legal Assistance. She originally was hired as the Administrative Assistant and the additional title of Handyman Coordinator was added in 2000 when her job duties were expanded. In October 2006 she was promoted to the position of Office Manager.

 

 Ruth McCrea - Volunteer Manager

Ruth McCreaRuth McCrea joined RSVP on November 12, 2007 to fill the Volunteer Managers Position.  She just recently finished her second year as an AmeriCorps volunteer.  She worked at the Counseling and Education Center for the past year as the Volunteer Coordinator there.  She has a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in Mass Communications.  She is a potter, painter, and printer.  Ruth manages the volunteers for RSVP, the SHIP Project and the Senior Scholar Project and is full time.

Sherry Taylor Warner - Handyman Project Coordinator

Sherry Taylor WarnerSherry Taylor Warner joined RSVP on November 3, 208 to fill the Handyman Project Coordinator position.  Sherry also currently works for St. Mary's Hospital as a Registered Histologist.  Before becoming an Histologist, Sherry's background was in volunteer management.  She worked for Volunteers of America in Denver.  Sherry has a BA degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Mesa State College.  Sherry likes working for St. Mary's, but still loves working in the nonprofit arena.   

Marianne North - MIPPA (Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act) Project Coordinator

Marianne NorthMarianne North rejoined the staff of Mesa County RSVP August 17, 2009 to manage a short-term, grant-funded project that is designed to help low-income elderly and people with disabilities get the Medicare subsidies for which they are eligible.  Marianne was the Handyman Project Coordinator and resigned in June 2009.  We obtained a grant for this new project and she was interested.
